The Manaslu Circuit Trek is a 16-day trekking adventure through the stunning Himalayan range in Nepal. A challenging trek that begins in Kathmandu and ends in Kathmandu, taking you through some of the most awe-inspiring mountain terrains in the world.

16 Days Manaslu Circuit Trekking is known for its breathtaking views of Mount Manaslu, the 8th highest peak in the world. During your journey, you will encounter traditional Tibetan Buddhist villages and pass through valleys filled with wildflowers, rivers and glaciers.

It is considered more challenging than the popular Annapurna Circuit Trek, due to its higher altitude and more technical terrain. That said, it’s still achievable for most people who have at least basic trekking experience.

To complete this trek, you will need to obtain a Manaslu Circuit Trekking Permit from the Department of Immigration in Kathmandu.

Manaslu Circuit Trek permit Cost in detail:

Manaslu Restricted Permit Fee:
►Manaslu Circuit Trek permit fee from Sep to November (Autumn) is $100 for the first seven days and $15 for each additional day.
►Manaslu Circuit Trek permit fee from Dec to August (Winter, Spring, and Summer) cost $75 for the first seven days and $10 for each additional day

Manaslu Conservation Area Permit Fee:
►MCAP Entry Fee for SAARC:  NRs.1000 per person
►MCAP Entry Fee for other nationals: NRs. 3,000 per person

You must also obtain an Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP). You will also need to hire an experienced guide and porters to help you navigate the terrain. Guides and porters charge different fees depending on the length and services you need. The difficulty level of the Manaslu Circuit Trekking is moderate, with some stretches of steeper terrain.

The following itinerary outlines the estimated daily distances and elevations for Manaslu Circuit Trek with Larke Pass. Make sure you are prepared to adjust your schedule if necessary depending on the altitude gain and loss each day.

Overall, the Manaslu Trekking is an unforgettable adventure that will take you to some of the most remote and stunning places in Nepal. With adequate preparation and a good attitude, you will end up with incredible views and memories that will last a lifetime.

Planning for Manaslu Circuit Trek in Nepal

The Manaslu Circuit Trek can complete year-round except in winter. To prepare for this thrilling experience, you will need to plan your trekking route and understand the costs and logistics involved.

It’s important to do your research before embarking on this journey, to make sure you have everything you need and understand what to expect along the way. You should plan an itinerary based on your time and budget constraints and arrange accommodation beforehand. Make sure you check the Manaslu Circuit Trek weather forecast in advance so you have the right clothing and gear.

Manaslu Circuit Trek in Nepal is sometimes compared to the Annapurna Circuit Trek, though they are quite different experiences. The Annapurna trek is longer (19-23 days) and has more challenging terrain than Manaslu, but it passes through more villages so you have more options for lodging and food. Both treks are stunningly beautiful and unique, so it’s worth considering both before deciding which one to do. For more information about Annapurna Circuit Trek, Click here: How difficult is the Annapurna Circuit Trek

By taking the time to properly plan your trek before embarking on the Manaslu Trekking, you can ensure that your experience is a safe and enjoyable one. Your final itinerary should include a detailed breakdown of daily activities, estimated budgets, sleeping arrangements, meal plans and estimated arrival times at various checkpoints. Depending on the season, temperatures on the Manaslu Circuit can range drastically, ranging from hot and humid during the summer months to cold during the winter months.

Manaslu Circuit Trek Route

Manaslu Trekking is an unforgettable experience and a must-do for trekkers in Nepal. This adventure trek takes you around the spectacular 5,165-meter Larke Pass. Along the way, you will explore some of the most breathtaking scenery and culture in the region.

When it comes to the route, there are a few things to consider. The Manaslu Circuit Trek itinerary typically starts from Sotikhola and ends at Besi Sahar. The main trail for the trek runs along the banks of the Buri Gandaki River. There are several settlements along the way, including Gorkha and Lho. Some of the highlights of the trek include Manaslu Base Camp and Larke Pass. The highest point you'll reach is Larke Pass at an altitude of 5,165 meters.

In terms of difficulty, the Manaslu Circuit Trekking is moderate to difficult. It requires a good level of fitness and proper acclimatization to enjoy the journey without getting altitude sickness. That said, it's worth it! With plenty of stunning mountain vistas, cosy tea houses, and charming villages to explore, it's a great adventure for any avid hiker or mountaineer.

If you’re looking for a true trekking experience in Nepal, look no further than the Manaslu Trekking. It’s a unique and exciting challenge that will leave you with unforgettable memories.

Additionally, the terrain may be difficult above 4,000 meters. But even if you don't have previous hiking experience, you should be able to complete the trek as long as you take your time and stay safe. All these factors combined make the Manaslu Circuit Trekking an unbeatable experience. So if you're up for a truly immersive adventure, grab your backpack and get ready to hit the trails in Nepal! From its beautiful Himalayan landscapes to its diverse cultural experiences, the Manaslu Circuit Trekking has everything you need for a memorable trip.

Don't forget to factor in the Manaslu circuit trek cost and itinerary when budgeting for your journey. And if you're new to hiking, remember to prepare yourself mentally and physically so that you can handle the Manaslu circuit trek difficulty without any issues. If you follow all the safety precautions, you're guaranteed to have an incredible experience trekking around Manaslu. From its wonderful people to its majestic mountains, Nepal is sure to leave a lasting impression on anyone who visits.

Moreover, there are several key differences between the Manaslu trek vs the Annapurna circuit. The Annapurna circuit is much shorter than the Manaslu circuit, making it easier and faster to complete. However, the Manaslu circuit provides a much wider variety of landscapes than the Annapurna circuit.

In addition, although the Manaslu circuit tends to be less crowded than the Annapurna circuit, some sections are still quite popular.

Finally, while the Annapurna circuit involves more significant physical challenges, including multiple passes over 3000 meters high, the Manaslu circuit contains more up-and-down walking than the Annapurna circuit. Whether you choose to take on the Manaslu trek vs the Annapurna circuit, both adventures promise breathtaking landscapes and unique cultural experiences.

Manaslu Circuit Trek-Tips for Success

  • Make sure you’re physically and mentally prepared for a challenging trek. The Manaslu Circuit Trek is an adventure that requires strength, endurance and determination, so it's important to make sure you're fit enough for the hike. Talk to your doctor before heading out and practice hiking on trails to get your body ready.
  • Get familiar with the route in advance. Familiarize yourself with the terrain and plan for possible detours or roadblocks on the way. Consider hiring a guide who has experience navigating the area, as they will know what to expect and how to handle any potential problems.
